Job summary

HCA Florida Ocala Hospital is seeking a Sonographer PRN to operate ultrasound equipment, produce diagnostic images, and assist in the Radiology Department. The role may require working at Ocala Regional Hospital, West Marion Community Hospital, or the Free Standing Emergency Department.

Qualified candidates will have an Diagnostic Medical Sonographer credential and an Associate Degree or Vocational Certificate. Comprehensive benefits and ongoing professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment start date.
• Diagnostic Medical Sonographer credential or registration is required.
• Education: Associate degree or vocational certificate in ultrasound or related field.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment and acquires quality images.
• Sends images to PACS and documents findings.
• Assists Radiology Department in daily operations; follows sterile technique.
• May work at Ocala Regional Hospital, West Marion Community Hospital, or The Free Standing Emergency Department; supports radiologist in invasive procedures.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Performs duties directly involved in a variety of technical procedures for the purpose of detecting pathology. Operates the ultrasound equipment and sends images to PACS. Assists in the daily operation of the Radiology Department. Uses sterile technique when necessary and assists the radiologist in all invasive procedures. May be required to work at Ocala Regional Hospital, West Marion Community Hospital, or The Free Standing Emergency Department.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
• Associate Degree, or Vocational School Graduate, or Certificate
