Sonographer Multi-Disciplined, Part Time

Located in Laurel, our Freestanding Medical Facility (FMF) provides ambulatory, OR, and full-service Emergency care 24/7 to improve the health of our neighboring community residents. We’re looking for experienced Sonographers to join our extraordinary Imaging Team at UM Laurel Medical Center. Responsibilities:

Conduct general and vascular ultrasound examinations to locate, evaluate, and record anatomical, pathological, and functional data. Review results for quality and completeness, and refer to physicians for evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Required: RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist)
  • Required: Basic Life Support – Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)

Education/Knowledge:

  • Completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Applicable Experience:

  • Required: 1 year
  • Preferred: 3 or more years, including one year performing general and vascular exams

Technical/Clinical Skills:

Proficiency with Word and basic Excel; working knowledge of medical terminology
