Job summary

Novant Health Maternal Fetal Medicine in Mount Pleasant, SC, seeks an experienced Sonographer to join a team delivering advanced care for high-risk pregnancies. You will perform obstetric and gynecologic ultrasounds and collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold an AMA-approved DMS program credential, an associate degree, RDMS-OB, and current BLS. Preferred: 1+ year OB ultrasound, fetal imaging experience, and willingness to assist with amniocentesis or CVS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Associate degree (or equivalent program completion).
• RDMS with OB specialization (RDMS-OB) and current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations.
• Obtain comprehensive fetal anatomy and growth assessments.
• Perform Doppler studies, NT scans, and AIUM-recommended imaging.
• Collaborate with Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians and multidisciplinary care team.
• Assist with amniocentesis and CVS procedures when appropriate.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care with high imaging quality and safety.

What You'll Do

As a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer, you will:

• Perform high-quality obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations
• Obtain comprehensive fetal anatomy and growth assessments
• Perform Doppler studies, nuchal translucency (NT) scans, and AIUM-recommended imaging
• Collaborate closely with Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians and the multidisciplinary care team
• Assist with specialized procedures, including amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (CVS), when appropriate
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining the highest standards of imaging quality and safety

What We're Looking For

Required

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• Associate degree (or equivalent program completion)
• ARDMS registered with OB specialty (RDMS-OB)
• Current BLS certification

Preferred

• One or more years of obstetric ultrasound experience
• Maternal Fetal Medicine experience
• Fetal Echocardiography certification
• Experience performing Doppler studies and nuchal translucency examinations
• Experience assisting with amniocentesis and/or CVS procedures
