Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved and accredited Ultrasound Education Program.
• RDMS: minimum of 1 year experience OR RVT: No experience necessary.
• RDMS Certification OR RVT Certification.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and specialized sonographic procedures under supervision.
• Selects appropriate equipment and factors for each patient and adapts to age-related needs.
• Participates in Clinical Ladder Program where implemented.
• Applies knowledge of sonographic principles, anatomy, physiology, physics, and patient care.
• Performs high-level disinfection to meet infection prevention standards.
• Complies with Joint Commission and regulatory standards.
• Documents patient care activity in electronic health records.
• Maintains safe and functional work environment and inventory.
• Reports equipment or environmental issues per policy.
• Engages in performance improvement initiatives to enhance workflows and patient experience.
• Contributes to student and staff training and education.
