Job summary

Novant Health in the Charlotte region is seeking a Sonographer I to join our REMARKABLE acute care team. The role involves preparing patients and operating ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree or higher in radiography/sonography, ARRT or ARDMS certification, and at least one year of sonography experience. PRN schedule within the GCM Imaging Resource Pool is available.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in radiography/sonography preferred.
• Graduate of ARRT-approved radiography or sonography program; or CAAHEP-recognized sonography program, required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in sonography.

• The Sonographer assists physicians in diagnostic/therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.

What You'll Do

The Sonographer assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the ultrasound equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography Program; or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required.
• Experience: Minimum of one years of experience in sonography, required.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS within 6 months of hire, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS, required.
  • NH Medical Group Office-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS, required.
