The Sonographer operates imaging equipment and software proficiently, mostly ultrasound equipment, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires proficiency and thorough understanding of operating imaging equipment and procedures while ensuring patient safety and maintaining imaging standards. Responsibilities also include serving as lead when direct leadership is unavailable, serving as an expert resource, and assisting in training. Effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential for providing optimal care.
