Job summary

Sante Health System is seeking a Sonographer for Central Valley Women's Health Associates in Fresno, CA. The role involves providing ultrasound diagnostic tests, collaborating with Lead Physician and Team Leader on workflow, and maintaining equipment across busy sites.

Candidates should have education in radiology or nursing, ultrasound certification, and preferably RDMS. Both full-time and part-time positions are available with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Graduation from a school of Radiology Technology or Nursing.
• Minimum six months ultrasonographic experience or AMA approved program with diagnostic ultrasound.
• Fetal echo accreditation and board certification preferred.
• License: AUIM, CRT, ARRT or RN; RDMS preferred.
• OB experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with Lead Physician and Team Leader to monitor ultrasound workflows.
• Report questions or concerns to Lead Physician/Team Leader as appropriate.
• Perform ultrasound scans on patients as per standard procedure.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and stock all supplies.
• Download and log ultrasound machines; review cleaning logs.
• Maintain a clean work area and attend required meetings.
• Participate in staff development and maintain current certifications including Fetal Echo and board certification.
• Follow instructions and perform other duties as requested.

A challenging and rewarding opportunity awaits a new full time or part time Sonographer at one of our busy sites Central Valley Women's Health Associates in Fresno, CA. This role provides ultrasound diagnostic tests for patients. Also assists with direction of workflow for other ultrasound techs in collaboration with Lead Physician and Team Leader.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Graduation from a school of Radiology Technology or Nursing.
• Minimum of six months Ultrasonigraphic experience or graduation from an AMA approved program in Ultrasonography with certification in diagnostic ultrasound.
• Fetal echo accreditation and board certification preferred.
• AUIM (American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine), CRT (Certified Radiology Technologist, ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) or RN (Registered Nurse) license.
• RDMS (Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonography) preferred.
• OB experience preferred.

• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology to pinpoint area of imaging.
• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Work in collaboration with Lead Physician and Team Leader to monitor ultrasound tech workflows
• Report any questions or concerns to Lead Physician and/or Team Leader as appropriate
• Perform ultrasound scan on patients as per normal procedure.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and order and stock all ultrasound supplies.
• Download and log ultrasound machines.
• Review ultrasound cleaning logs on a timely basis.
• Review Citex probe log timely.
• Keep work area clean.
• Attend required meetings.
• Participate in staff development, educational activities and maintain current certifications and accreditations (including American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and Fetal Echo Accreditation and Board Certification).
• Request assistance with placing patients, etc., as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality
