Overview

Performs routine and advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures for cardiovascular practices.

Responsibilities
  • Operates ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic images, identifies abnormalities, and ensures optimal quality.
  • Explains procedures, reviews data, performs exams, and records findings for physician review.
  • Stays current with education, technical journals, and maintains certification (RDCS, RCS).
  • Assists with scheduling, ensures patient comfort and safety.
  • Creates accurate ultrasound reports in the EMR and supports patient flow.
  • Maintains a clean work area, ensures equipment is operational, and restocks supplies.
  • Coordinates with engineers and provides training as needed.
  • Assists with staffing and other duties to support patient care and goals.
Qualifications
  • Completion of accredited ultrasound or related program.
  • ARDMS or CCI registry in Cardiac Ultrasound (eligibility considered).
  • BLS certification required.
  • Strong communication skills.
