Qualifications

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - Adult from ARDMS or equivalent.
  • Vascular Technologist (RVT) from ARDMS or equivalent.
  • BLS certified through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

About the job Cardiovascular Sonographer

Cardiovascular Sonographer Role:

Join a dynamic team dedicated to:

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient history reviews, manage scheduling, and educate patients on procedures.
  • Monitor patient conditions, adjust imaging parameters for optimal results, and manage contrast media/medications as needed.
  • Uphold safety standards, perform equipment QC, troubleshoot malfunctions, and execute imaging procedures with precision.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound program.
  • Required certifications:
    • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - Adult (AE) from ARDMS or equivalent.
    • Vascular Technologist (RVT) from ARDMS or equivalent.
  • Alternative credentials accepted from CCI:
    • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS), Registered Cardiac Congenital Sonographer (RCCS), Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS).
  • A minimum of 2 years related experience.
  • Must be a registered sonographer.
  • BLS certified through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Certification must be obtained before the start date and remain valid for at least sixty days post-hire.
