Inland Imaging Associates, LLC in Downtown Spokane is seeking a Breast Sonographer for a full-time, Monday–Friday 8am–5pm position at our Breast Imaging Center. You will perform high-quality ultrasound exams and ensure radiologist-approved images, following Inland Imaging guidelines and protocols.

The role involves breast, abdomen, OBGYN, vascular, and musculoskeletal studies, assisting radiologists, and using Medicalis and PACS to locate prior reports.

Qualifications

  • High-quality ultrasound exams consistently approved by radiologists.
  • Proficient in breast imaging and various sonography modalities.
  • Familiar with Medicalis and PACS for prior reports and coding.
  • Able to assist radiologists with procedures and patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Performs high quality ultrasound exams per protocol.
  • Conducts exams including breast, abdomen/small parts, OBGYN, vascular, pediatric, and musculoskeletal.
  • Assists radiologists with interventional procedures.
  • Obtains and records patient history accurately.
  • Uses Medicalis to track check-in and code procedures.
  • Communicates with patients and providers regarding exams and prep.
  • Arrives within 30 minutes for on-call assignments.
  • Coordinates patient care across departments to ensure workflow.

Job description

Base Pay Range: $36.95 - $55.43

The Breast Sonographer is a Full Time, Regular position working Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm at our Breast Imaging Center located in Downtown Spokane.

Summary: To obtain the safest and highest quality diagnostic sonography exams for image documentation of anatomy and pathology and interpretation by a radiologist, per established Inland Imaging guidelines and protocols.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities
  • Performs high quality ultrasound exams that are consistently approved by radiologists and to the accepted protocol.
  • Performs various sonography exams, including abdomen/small parts, breast, OBGYN, vascular, pediatric and musculoskeletal.
  • Assists radiologists with interventional procedures.
  • Accurately obtains and records patient medial history
  • Demonstrates proficiency at utilizing Medicalis & PACS in locating prior reports/studies pertinent to exams being done.
  • Utilizes Medicalis to track patient check-in/availability and accurately codes procedures.
  • Calls patients and providers to clarify exams, indications, referrals, patient preparatory information and general questions.
  • Arrives to all on‑call assignments within 30-minutes of being contacted
  • Assists in the transportation of patients as needed
  • Coordinates patient care between departments to facilitate a smooth workflow
  • Works in clinical outpatient setting but may cover in a hospital setting at times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
