Job summary

Jimmy Jazz in Washington state is seeking a skilled, patient-focused full-time Sonographer to join our Radiology & Imaging Department. You will perform ultrasound examinations, position patients, and maintain equipment according to established safety and infection-control protocols.

Ideal candidates will have an accredited radiology program, ARDMS registration, and RDMS credentials in AB, BR, OB/GYN, RVT and VT. Hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Accredited radiology program completed.
  • ARDMS registration is required.
  • RDMS credentials in AB/BR/OBGYN/RVT/VT preferred.
  • CPR certification current or within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound examinations per established protocols.
  • Position patients using knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Ensure equipment cleanliness and infection control.
  • Complete documentation for each examination.
  • Report equipment issues to Radiology Manager.
  • Provide safe patient transport and positioning assistance.

Join Our Team as a Sonographer!

We’re looking for a skilled and patient-focused full-time Sonographer to join our Radiology & Imaging Department. This role plays a key part in providing high-quality imaging services and ensuring each patient receives exceptional care in a safe and comfortable environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare for and perform all assigned ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols.
  • Utilize knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to accurately position and prepare patients for imaging procedures.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of ultrasound equipment, following all infection control guidelines.
  • Complete all required documentation and paperwork for each examination performed.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and report any equipment malfunction or damage to the Radiology Manager.
  • Provide courteous, safe, and efficient patient care, including transport, transfer, and positioning assistance.
  • Follow all radiation safety, quality assurance, and infection control procedures.

Requirements

Ideal Candidate:

  • Successful completion of an accredited program in radiology science and have ARDMS registration.
  • Must have RDMS credentials in AB, BR, OB/GYN, RVT and VT.
  • One year of prior experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
  • Current CPR certification within three months of hire and remain current thereafter.
  • Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, and factors of ultrasonic exposure sufficient to operate hospital equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision, show attention to detail, use judgment to make decisions, maintain confidentiality, and think logically to solve problems.
