Sonographer - Adult Imaging - PRN

General Description: Under immediate to general supervision and direction of a mentor/preceptor, this entry-level position works to achieve the initial competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations for the purpose of aiding medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment and surveillance of simple to complex conditions, defects and/or diseases.

Education: Associate's degree or higher preferred.
Experience: N/A
Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: Must meet eligibility requirements for ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI in the relevant specialty within 12 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
Ability to apply principles of cardiovascular and radiologic technology, medical imaging, terminology, patient positioning, and ethics. Must work well in a team, follow instructions, and report reliably. Sensitive to patient needs, capable of maintaining accurate records, and able to handle confidential information with discretion. Must be able to multi-task, stay calm under stress, and communicate professionally with staff, patients, and families. Demonstrates initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and core practices in the primary specialty is required.
