Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Oregon seeks a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist to provide high-quality ultrasound services in hospital and clinic settings, including OB/GYN, abdominal, and vascular studies. The role requires teamwork, adherence to department policies, and patient care excellence.

Responsibilities include imaging procedures, radiologist communication, patient assistance, and QA duties. Must have ARDMS certification (Ob-Gyn or Abdomen) and Oregon license, with BLS and a strong attention

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP Accredited Ultrasonographer Program or 2 yrs Ultrasound experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate - Ob-Gyn or Abdomen at hire.
• Sonography Technologist License (Oregon) required.
• Basic Life Support within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures (OB/GYN, abdominal, vascular) per department policies.
• Communicate with Radiologist and support patient handling.
• Assist patient and transport as needed.
• Review exams, file work, restock supplies, and perform QA tasks.

Job Summary

To provide diagnostic ultrasound services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, to include OB/GYN, abdominal, and vascular superficial structures. Clerical duties as required. To perform all duties in a manner which promotes team concepts and reflects the KPNW Mission and philosophy.

Essential Responsibilities

• Performing diagnostic procedures, using knowledge, skills and abilities required for age of patient served to include: Routine, emergent, portable, surgical examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures.
• Communication with Radiologist.
• Assist patient/transport.
• Exam review. File work. Restocking supplies/cleaning. Quality Assurance functions. Other duties as assigned

• Graduate of an CAAHEP Accredited Ultrasonographer Program at time of hire or 2 yrs previous Ultrasound experience.
• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

License, Certification, Registration

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate - Ob-Gyn required at hire from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate - Abdomen required at hire from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers

• Sonography Technologist License (Oregon)

• Basic Life Support within 1 months of hire
