Summary:

This position is responsible for performing quality ultrasound examinations under the supervision of a Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP). The Sonographer applies advanced clinical and technical knowledge to provide safe, high-quality procedures in alignment with Cook Children's values and Our Promise. This role involves direct patient care for individuals across all ages, from neonatal/newborn to young adults, with patient acuity ranging from stable outpatients to critically ill patients on full life support.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Sonography Program by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
  • Three years of ultrasound experience preferred.
  • ARDMS or ARRT(S) registry eligibility, to be completed within 18 months of hire.
  • CPR - BLS certification required.
