Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Dickinson, ND seeks a Sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, including prenatal imaging. You will engage with patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and safety while acquiring high-quality images. You will review images for pathologies and provide preliminary findings to physicians.

The role requires completion of an accredited Sonography program, ARDMS registration within 12 months, BLS/CPR, and ND radiography credentials. A sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Must possess accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program completion.
• Registered DSM is required within 12 months of hire.
• CPR/BLS certification required at hire.
• ND Medical Radiographer credential required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and unborn fetuses for diagnosis and prenatal care.
• Explain procedures to patients and prepare them for scans, ensuring comfort and understanding.
• Meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjust settings and patient position for clear images.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout examinations and select/examine images for pathologies.
• Present preliminary findings to physicians to support diagnostic decisions.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Sonographer, you will utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care.

Every day you will directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans. You will meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images. You will monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort, select and examine images for pathologies, and present preliminary findings to Physicians.

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent patient service and communication skills, sharp eyesight, and meticulous attention to detail. You will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, sound judgment, and advanced decision-making skills to effectively capture and interpret sonographic data, ensuring optimal diagnostic support.

We are offering a $30,000 Bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements

Job Requirements Required

Pay Range

$35.70 - $53.11 /hour
