Position Summary:

Sovah Danville is seeking a full-time Sonography Clinical & Concentration Coordinator responsible for coordinating student clinical rotations, teaching assigned sonographic classes, and supervising students in clinical settings. The Concentration Coordinator reports to the Program Director and must be designated in OB/GYN, overseeing the OB/GYN portion of the program.

• Teach each semester as assigned, including day and evening sections, on and off campus, weekends, and via distance learning technologies.
• Teach Lab/Clinical courses within the Certification Areas held, as assigned by the Program Director.
• Post and hold a minimum of 1 office hour per course weekly.
• Prepare and distribute syllabi for each course.
• Prepare grade reports for each course.
• Recommend texts and support materials for courses.
• Assist in requisitioning instructional equipment and supplies.
• Review course content and teaching methods at semester end in collaboration with the program director.
• Evaluate course instruction per accreditation policies.
• Schedule and supervise students during clinical experiences.
• Collaborate with community healthcare organizations to promote sonography.
• Serve as liaison between the school and healthcare community.
• Coordinate clinical and didactic education as assigned.
• Evaluate clinical experiences and ensure clinical competence.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, students, and the community.
• Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities.
• Adhere to school policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including teaching online and hybrid courses.
• Refer students to resources like advising, counseling, tutoring, and financial aid.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or higher; Bachelor's preferred.
• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work in stressful environments and operate sonographic equipment.
• Knowledge of AV equipment, MS Office, Google Workspace.
• Experience with education theories and techniques preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ARDMS credentialed in OB/GYN or related area.
• Minimum two years of professional sonographer experience.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.
