Job Description:

We are currently seeking entry-level Mechanics to join our Boart Longyear team. This is an “on the road” position with a 20/10 roster.

Responsibilities

1. Assisting with repairs on diesel powered hydraulic systems and machinery
2. Supporting and assisting with diagnosis of hydraulic problems in equipment with a quick turnaround for getting rigs back in operations
3. Performing basic maintenance of equipment
4. Working safely while meeting all compliance requirements

Minimum Qualifications

1. Typically requires a HS Diploma or equivalent
2. Basic knowledge of tools and mechanical systems preferred
3. Basic knowledge of FMCSA rules and regulations preferred or willingness to learn
4. Basic knowledge of duplex and triplex mud pumps preferred or willingness to learn
5. Able to lift 50 pounds frequently
6. Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
7. Must be willing to travel to field locations across the US
8. Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
10. Willingness to acquire necessary tools
11. Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a CDL
12. Must be able to be MSHA/OSHA certified
