Harwood Hospitality Group’s Hotel Swexan in Dallas seeks an experienced Sommelier for our upscale venues. You will guide wine and champagne selections, tailor pairings to the menu, and deliver impeccable service to guests across multiple venues within the hotel.

Ideal candidates bring extensive wine knowledge, CMS or WSET certifications, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. A guest‑first mindset and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sommelier in an upscale, high-volume restaurant.
• CMS or WSET certifications preferred or equivalent from another accredited wine institution.
• Extensive knowledge of wine and wine service techniques.
• Availability to work nights, weekends & holidays.
• A “guest‑first” mindset and passion for providing exemplary guest service.
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Ability to take direction and to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with wine and champagne selection, considering taste and budget.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide information about venues, menus and pricing.
• Explain how wine and champagne pair with menu items and desserts.
• Ensure wines are presented and poured correctly per company standards.
• Inform guests about alternate wine selections when needed.
