Job summary

Montage International is seeking a passionate Sommelier for our Deer Valley property. You will guide guests through our wine list with expert descriptions, mentor bartenders and servers, and ensure exceptional wine service across outlets, lounges, and banquets.

You will train associates on wine regions, varietals, and food pairings, maintain cellar standards, and collaborate with management on beverage cost and inventory. Luxury hotel experience preferred; weekend shifts required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in food and beverage operations.
• Guild of Sommeliers certification preferred.
• Luxury hotel experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administering the sale of beverages in outlet, lounge, and banquet functions, mentoring staff involved in alcohol service.
• Guide guests through the wine list with detailed descriptions and recommendations based on preferences and menu selections.
• Educate associates about wine regions, varietals, flavor profiles, and food pairings through trainings and materials.
• Conduct associate training on wine service standards, including decanting, pouring, and presentation techniques.
• Maintain the wine cellar with proper temperature, humidity and storage to preserve quality and maximize profitability.
