Job summary

Svitla Systems Inc. is seeking a Solutions Testing Engineer for a full-time role in the USA. The candidate will perform end-to-end solution validation on a SaaS-based Quantum Security Posture Management platform, simulating real customer topologies and workflows.

You will build lab environments, validate user workflows, and collaborate with Sales, Support, and Product teams to ensure readiness before go-live. 10+ years of networking experience and strong security knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in networking and validation.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, VLANs, routing, ACLs, NAT, and firewall design across vendors.
• Solid understanding of network security concepts, segmentation, policy enforcement, and attack surface risks.
• Experience testing solutions in customer-like environments (POCs, pilot deployments, or professional services).
• Strong skills in user workflow and scenario-based testing and thinking like an end customer.

Responsibilities

• Build realistic, customer-representative network environments with multi-vendor L2/L3 topologies and cloud VPCs.
• Validate end-to-end user workflows from onboarding to reporting for real-world deployment.
• Collaborate with Sales, Support, and Product to reproduce issues and validate POC environments.
• Design test scenarios based on CIS Benchmarks, NIST, and common compliance requirements.
• Assess platform performance across varying network scales and hybrid/cloud configurations.
• Provide feedback to Product and Engineering on gaps between expected and real-world behavior.
• Support pre-sales and onboarding with technical validation and POC troubleshooting.
• Document validated scenarios and reference architectures for internal enablement.

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Solutions Testing Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in the USA. You will validate that our SaaS-based Quantum Security Posture Management platform works correctly against real-world, customer-representative network environments and use cases. Unlike core product QA, this role is centered on end-to-end solution validation — simulating actual customer topologies, security policies, and workflows to ensure the product delivers correct, deployable results before and after it reaches customers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, routing protocols, ACLs, NAT, and firewall rule design, across multiple vendors.
• Solid understanding of network security concepts, including segmentation, policy enforcement, common misconfigurations, and attack surface risks.
• Experience testing or validating solutions in customer-like environments, such as POCs, pilot deployments, or professional services/solutions engineering settings.
• Strong skills in user workflow and scenario-based testing, with the ability to think like an end customer rather than simply a test-case author.
• Ability to build and manage lab environments, both physical and virtual, representing diverse customer topologies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Support, and Product teams and write clear validation reports.

Will be a plus

• Certifications such as CCNP, Security+, CEH, or equivalent.
• Prior experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Professional Services for a security or networking product.
• Familiarity with cloud networking, including AWS VPC, Azure VNet, and GCP VPC, as well as hybrid environments.
• Scripting or automation skills in Python or Bash for environment setup or data import testing.
• Experience with attack surface management, CSPM, vulnerability, and security posture management tools.

Responsibilities

• Build realistic, customer-representative network environments, including multi-vendor Layer 2/Layer 3 topologies, firewalls, routers, switches, and cloud VPCs, to validate platform behavior against real-world deployment scenarios.
• Validate end-to-end user workflows, including onboarding, network data discovery/import, posture assessment, remediation guidance, and reporting, from the perspective of actual customer deployment.
• Partner with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Support to reproduce customer-reported issues, validate proof-of-concept (POC) environments, and confirm solution readiness before go-live.
• Design test scenarios based on customer use cases, industry frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks and NIST, and common compliance requirements.
• Assess how the platform performs across varying network scales, vendor mixes, and hybrid/cloud network configurations.
• Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering teams on gaps between platform behavior and real-world customer expectations.
• Support pre-sales and onboarding teams with technical validation, demo environment setup, and POC troubleshooting.
• Document validated solution scenarios, reference architectures, and known limitations for internal enablement.
• Stay current with customer environments, competitive tools, and evolving network and security architectures to keep test scenarios realistic.
