Job summary

Svitla Systems, Inc. is seeking a QA Engineer for a full-time U.S. role to own quality for a SaaS-based Quantum Security Posture Management platform.

You will perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing, collaborating with developers to identify defects early and build confidence in every release. Requirements include 6+ years QA/testing, experience with Selenium, Playwright, Postman, Jira, and strong networking/security knowledge.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software QA/testing, ideally with SaaS or enterprise infrastructure products.
• Working knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, subnetting, routing protocols, ACLs, NAT, and firewall logic.
• Foundational knowledge of security concepts, including firewall policies, segmentation, and common vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
• Experience with manual and automated testing using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, and Postman/Newman, as well as defect tracking tools such as Jira.
• Experience testing REST APIs and validating JSON and other data payloads.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to write clear, reproducible bug reports.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and execute detailed test cases and test plans for platform features, including network discovery, topology mapping, policy/rule analysis, posture scoring, alerting, and reporting.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing across releases and sprints.
• Validate the correctness of Layer 2/Layer 3 network modeling, including VLANs, routing, ACLs, NAT, and firewall rules, as represented and analyzed by the product.
• Build and maintain automated test suites at both the UI and API levels to increase regression coverage and reduce manual testing effort.
• Set up and maintain test environments and labs, including virtual network topologies such as GNS3, EVE-NG, and containerlab, as well as multi-vendor device configurations for Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Fortinet.
• Log, triage, and track defects; work with Engineering to reproduce issues, identify root causes, and verify fixes.
• Participate in sprint planning, story refinement, and release readiness reviews, providing a quality and risk perspective.
• Contribute to test strategy improvements, including shift-left testing practices and CI/CD test integration.
• Maintain clear and thorough test documentation, including test cases, coverage matrices, and defect reports.

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a QA Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in the USA. You will own quality for our SaaS-based Quantum Security Posture Management platform. This role focuses on rigorous, product-level testing, including functional correctness, regression coverage, and automation, for a platform that models Layer 2/Layer 3 networks and evaluates security posture. You will work closely with developers to identify defects early and build confidence in every release.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software QA/testing, ideally with SaaS or enterprise infrastructure products.
• Working knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, subnetting, routing protocols, ACLs, NAT, and firewall logic.

Will be a plus

• Certifications such as ISTQB, CCNA, or Security+.

• Experience with virtual network labs such as GNS3 or EVE-NG, or with cloud networking such as AWS VPC or Azure VNet.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test integration.
