Job summary

ShipperHQ, based in Austin, TX, seeks a Solutions Engineer to bridge sales and product teams. You will design scalable shipping solutions, lead discovery sessions, and guide customers through solution design and best practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar customer-facing technical role in SaaS.
• Experience leading technical discovery sessions and managing POC engagements.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and modern SaaS integrations; able to explain technical concepts to business and technical audiences.
• Familiarity with major e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Adobe Commerce/Magento, BigCommerce) and/or shipping, carrier rating, order management.
• Experience with HubSpot and building internal tools to improve workflows.
• Strong curiosity and a consultative problem-solving approach.
• Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Position Overview:

As a Solutions Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in helping prospects and customers realize the full value of ShipperHQ. Partnering closely with our Sales, Implementation, and Product teams, you'll combine technical expertise with eCommerce knowledge to design scalable shipping solutions that support customers today and as they grow. You'll serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales and onboarding journey, guiding customers through solution design, demonstrating best practices, and ensuring they have confidence in how ShipperHQ fits within their broader commerce ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Sales and Implementation teams to understand customer requirements and design scalable shipping solutions that align with their business goals.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, solution design discussions, and proof-of-concept (POC) engagements with prospective customers.
• Demonstrate how ShipperHQ solves complex shipping and fulfillment challenges through product expertise and real-world use cases.
• Collaborate with Technical Support and other customer-facing teams to improve processes, share best practices, and ensure customer success across the entire lifecycle.
• Act as the voice of the customer by identifying product gaps, friction points, and enhancement opportunities, and partner with the Product team to help shape future roadmap priorities.
• Develop and share technical enablement resources, product knowledge, and implementation best practices across customer-facing teams.
• Stay current on the eCommerce landscape, including platforms, integrations, and industry trends, to position ShipperHQ as a strategic part of customers' technology stack.
• Build trusted relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders by providing thoughtful technical guidance and consultative recommendations.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or in a similar customer-facing technical role within a SaaS environment.
• Experience leading technical discovery sessions and managing proof-of-concept (POC) engagements.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and modern SaaS integrations, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both business and technical audiences.
• Familiarity with major e-commerce platforms (Shopify, including checkout extensibility, Adobe Commerce/Magento, BigCommerce) and/or the shipping, carrier rating, and order management space. Strongly preferred."
• Experience with HubSpot and a passion for building internal tools and improving operational workflows.
• Strong curiosity and a passion for understanding and solving complex customer challenges.
• A consultative approach to problem-solving with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and a track record of following through on commitments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with customers and cross-functional teams.
