Role

Cisco is seeking an AI-first Solutions Engineer based in Orange County, California to co-own a sales territory with an Account Executive. The SE will act as both technical lead and strategic partner—translating architectures into business value, delivering demos and POVs, and modeling AI-driven automation and prototype solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Co-lead account strategy, opportunity targeting, and revenue growth with an Account Executive.
Serve as trusted technical consultant across Cisco’s portfolio: Enterprise Networking, Security, Observability, Collaboration, AI Infrastructure, Agentic Ops, and Automation.
Lead discovery workshops, custom solution demonstrations, Architectural Roadmaps, Proofs of Value (POVs), and produce accurate Bills of Materials (BoMs).
Integrate agentic AI, vibe coding, custom agents, and automated workflows into sales engagements to prototype solutions and streamline technical discovery.
Present technical architectures and business outcomes to stakeholders from engineers to C-suite executives with high emotional intelligence.
Collaborate cross-functionally with regional teams, architecture specialists, business units, and channel partners.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years professional experience in technical consulting or customer-facing solutions architecture.
At least one active, verified industry certification (examples cited: Cisco CCNA/CCNP, AWS/Azure certifications, Security+, or equivalent).
Documented technical competence in core networking, security protocols, and cloud architecture environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or 4 years equivalent practical technical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of specialized pre-sales engineering experience.
Experience developing AI applications, autonomous agents, and automated workflows using modern AI platforms.
Demonstrated experience delivering technical presentations and system demonstrations to executive-level stakeholders.
Recent continuing education, technical certifications, or verifiable contributions to emerging technology projects.
Posted starting salary range for U.S./Canada: $202,400.00 to $257,900.00 (role-specific ranges for some locations are provided in the original posting).
