Whatnot is the largest livestream shopping platform in North America and Europe, empowering sellers across a spectrum of categories from trading cards to live plants. We build live commerce at a scale never seen in the West.

Role

As the founding Solutions Engineer on the Enterprise team, your contributions will center around:

• Delivering seamless, bi‑directional data synchronization across marketplace, e‑commerce, ERP, and other enterprise systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and low‑latency data flow.
• Partnering closely with cross‑functional stakeholders—including Product, Inventory, Operations, and external partners—to understand business needs, translate them into technical requirements, and drive aligned outcomes.
• Architecting and evolving enterprise‑grade systems that remain intuitive for developers, easy to iterate on, and capable of supporting rapid product growth.
• Contributing to and accelerating the broader Inventory team roadmap, providing technical insight, proactive problem‑solving, and hands‑on implementation support.

Qualifications

We look for a candidate with 5+ years of solutions development experience in high‑growth startups, plus:

• Experience building bespoke solutions on top of an existing internal framework.
• Ability to work across the stack (backend and frontend).
• Excellent product instincts; user‑first thinking.
• Experience working with customers directly, meeting expectations and aligning with company strategic goals.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to articulate customer needs to engineering product teams.
• Ability to take ownership of an ambiguous area and drive impact.
• Ability to flexibly work across multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with Shopify, Channel Advisor, Magento, and other e‑commerce SaaS products is a plus.

Location & Availability

Team members in this role must live within commuting distance of our Los Angeles or San Francisco hub. We offer flexibility to work from home or from one of our global office hubs.

Compensation Range

$170K - $190K
