Job summary

Keysight is seeking an Applications Engineer to expand EDA solutions within aerospace, defense, and commercial accounts in the Atlanta area. You will apply RF/microwave design knowledge to help customers evaluate and deploy Keysight tools, perform benchmarks, and present technical results in trainings and seminars.

The role emphasizes hands-on design discussions, on-site support, and collaboration within a world-class team to drive customer success in mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Excellent communications and strong interaction skills with customers.
• 5+ years of experience in RF component/system design or related fields.
• Knowledge of RF/Microwave fundamentals and Electronic System Level designs.
• Familiarity with Keysight EDA tools (ADS, SystemVue) or similar tools.
• Ability to work well in a team; self-motivated and collaborative.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency.

Responsibilities

• Expand Keysight EDA solutions within Aerospace, Defense, and Commercial accounts.
• Deliver value through training events, webinars, and seminars.
• Discuss technical details with customers and perform benchmarks if needed.
• Coordinate with team and bring in extra help when required.
• Prioritize design and technical activities on-site and map customer gaps and opportunities.
• Promote Keysight EDA solutions to aerospace/defense audiences (MMIC, RFIC, EMI, system-level).

Responsibilities

• Enthusiasm to establish and expand Keysight EDA solutions within customers’ design flow(s) in our largest Aerospace Defense and Commercial accounts.
• Deliver value to our customers by enabling their success with Keysight software and solutions (deliver regular training events, webinars/seminars, etc.).
• Deep product knowledge and can discuss technical details with customers. Can do extensive benchmarks or evaluations if needed.
• Bring in extra help when needed. Thrive in this world‑class organization, which has a genuine culture of teamwork.
• Prioritize ongoing design and technical activities at the customer site. Articulate customer’s design flow, gaps and opportunities. Hold regular office hours on‑site to solve design issues.
• Promote new solutions, products and capabilities through direct customer engagements. Promote key Keysight EDA solutions to primarily an Aerospace & Defense audience with a focus on our MMIC, RFIC, electromagnetic, and system‑level solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Excellent communications skills, and strong interaction skills with customers.
• 5+ years of experience in at least one related field (RF Component or RF System design, RFIC or MMIC design, Applications Engineering, etc.)
• Knowledge of fundamental concepts related to RF/Microwave and/or Electronic System Level designs.
• Knowledge of Keysight EDA tools like ADS, SystemVue, and/or other industry EDA tools.
• Work well in team environment, in both self‑motivated and collaborative modes.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency.

Preferred

• Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
• Expert‑level knowledge of RFIC or MMIC design flows.
• Proven expertise with Keysight EDA tools like ADS, SystemVue, etc.
• Experience working in/with US government labs or aerospace/defense contractors.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with high‑performance computing solutions.
