The Opportunity

Make a difference. This is an exciting opportunity to join a technology startup in a high growth phase. The Commercial Solutions Engineering team educates customers to ensure they are happy and successful, sharing technical and product expertise through demos, enablement, presentations, evaluations, and ongoing interaction. The team partners with Sales to help qualify and close opportunities and serves as a primary channel between customers and Product/Engineering teams.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Join as an early member of a high growth team solving technical and customer problems
  • Partner with the Sales team to articulate Grafana’s value proposition, vision, and strategy
  • Own the technical engagement with customers and help close high-velocity opportunities through advanced knowledge, technical skill, and credibility
  • Deliver product and technical presentations to potential and existing customers
  • Proactively communicate with customers and internal teams to provide feedback on products and competitive landscape
  • Drive product conversations based on needs identified during customer interactions
  • Contribute to documentation, blog posts, videos, knowledge base articles, and other enablement materials

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • Ideally located in California
  • 1-3+ years of technical pre-sales experience, preferably with Open Source technologies or in the Metrics/Monitoring space
  • Ability to handle varied, complex job duties with strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership
  • Experience working with an international, remote-first team
  • Excellent written and oral communication to articulate value proposition and technical advantages
  • Enjoy solving technical challenges and delivering creative solutions
  • Technical mindset with desire to grow; candidates from coding bootcamps or with post-sales/engineering backgrounds are welcome
  • Self-motivated, initiative-driven, creative, and capable of taking bold actions

Compensation & Rewards:

In the United States, the On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for this role is $177,000 - $211,000. Actual compensation varies by level, experience, and skillset. All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Compensation ranges are country-specific. If applying from a location listed differently, your recruiter will discuss the local pay range and benefits at the start of the process.
