This role is highly technical and delivery-oriented — closer to a systems architect than a traditional sales engineer. You will work directly with government stakeholders to define requirements, mature digital engineering capabilities, and evolve software-based solutions within secure environments.
Responsibilities
- Digital Engineering & Air Force Modernization
- Support Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering initiatives within Air Force programs
- Translate mission and operational requirements into structured technical architectures
- Develop repeatable engineering patterns aligned with secure, enterprise-level frameworks
Contribute to digital thread and lifecycle data integration strategies
- Customer & Requirements Leadership
- Work directly with government stakeholders to define capability needs and technical requirements
- Shape solution approaches in collaboration with delivery and growth teams
- Technical Product Evolution
- Contribute to ongoing enhancement and modernization of software-based solutions
- Refine system architectures to support scalability and compliance requirements
- Ensure alignment between technical baselines and mission objectives
- Growth & Strategic Support
- Partner with business development teams on technical solutioning
- Support proposal development and technical narratives
- Assist in aligning emerging customer needs with product capabilities
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government clearance (active clearance not required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field
- 5–8+ years of experience in systems engineering, solution architecture, or digital engineering environments
- Strong working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and systems engineering practices
- Demonstrated experience architecting enterprise or program-level technical solutions
- Experience collaborating across engineering, cybersecurity, cloud, and product teams
Required Skills
- Familiarity with digital engineering frameworks and secure software lifecycle management
- Experience operating within clearance-driven environments
- Exposure to configuration management and controlled digital asset governance
