Job summary

Exotec, a leading automation company, invites you to join its North America team in Atlanta as a Solutions Engineer. You will partner with Sales to evaluate opportunities, lead client discovery, and design end-to-end warehouse automation solutions combining robotics, storage, conveyors, and software.

You will develop layouts, prepare proposals, and deliver presentations to clients while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in warehouse automation or related solutions engineering.
• Experience with distribution centers and fulfillment operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
• Experience creating layouts or solution designs using AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Strong communication and presentation skills across technical and commercial teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for customer engagements.
• Nice to have: SQL, Python or AI tools for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop layouts, technical concepts, and proposals aligned with client objectives.
• Create and deliver customer presentations that communicate technical solutions and value.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate, refine, and deliver solutions.
• Support projects throughout the sales cycle from qualification to handover.
• Prepare technical documentation and handover packages for project execution.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and market trends in warehouse automation.

What You\'ll Do

• Design end-to-end solutions incorporating robotics, storage systems, conveyors, sortation equipment, software, and other material handling technologies.
• Develop system layouts, technical concepts, and solution proposals aligned with client business objectives.
• Create and deliver customer presentations that clearly communicate both technical solutions and operational value.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate, refine, and deliver innovative warehouse automation solutions.
• Support projects throughout the sales cycle, from qualification and solution development through contract award and project handover.
• Prepare technical documentation and handover packages to support successful project execution.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies, market trends, and best practices across warehouse automation, intralogistics, material handling, and order fulfillment operations.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in warehouse automation, material handling, intralogistics, fulfillment operations, systems integration, or a related solutions engineering environment.
• Experience working with distribution centers, fulfillment centers, warehouse operations, or material handling systems.
• Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related technical field.
• Experience creating technical concepts, facility layouts, or solution designs using AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and commercial teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% to support customer engagements and site visits.
• Nice to have: Ability to analyze operational data and translate customer requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions using SQL, Python, and/or AI tools.
