Solutions Architect/Systems Engineer w/Government Contract Bid and Execution Experience

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with a strong background in government contract bidding and execution. This individual will play a crucial role in identifying and securing new business opportunities, leveraging existing government department contacts, and assisting with project execution for both government and private sector staff augmentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the bidding process for government contracts, including RFP responses, proposal writing, and contract execution.
  2. Leverage established contacts within various government departments to initiate bidding on new opportunities.
  3. Work with internal teams to ensure compliance with government regulations and project requirements.
  4. Provide IT consulting and systems engineering support for both government and private sector clients.
  5. Focus on Identity and Access Management (IAM) projects, though this is not a strict requirement; general IT knowledge and problem-solving abilities are key.
  6. Deliver technical expertise and support to private sector clients on staff augmentation projects, for which you will be compensated at a higher rate.

Key Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience in government contract bid preparation and execution.
  2. Strong network and relationships with government departments and decision-makers to help secure contract opportunities.
  3. Expertise in Identity and Access Management is preferred, but not required.
  4. Ability to support both government and private sector projects, with an understanding of each sector's unique needs.
  5. Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset to drive business development.
  6. Previous experience in staff augmentation for the private sector is a plus.
  7. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.

Compensation:

  1. Competitive pay based on experience.
  2. Additional pay for private sector contracts (staff augmentation).
  3. Flexible working hours with both part-time and full-time options available.

This is a 1099 contractor position, offering you the flexibility to manage your workload while contributing to exciting and challenging projects. If you're ready to leverage your government contracting experience and IT expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you!
