AnaVation, LLC in Washington DC is seeking a Senior-level Solutions Architect to design, build, implement, and maintain enterprise-class systems that support mission requirements. This role develops baseline architectures aligned with business strategy and guides modernization and cloud migration initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in backend or full-stack roles, extensive experience with Java, API design, SAFe Agile, and holds an active TS clearance to work on-site in DC.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Backend/Full Stack or Java development with enterprise app design.
• Experience designing and delivering backend services, APIs, and front-end apps.
• Proficiency with Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Go or .NET in production.
• Experience with Spring/Spring Boot and modern frontend frameworks.
• Knowledge of data migration, security, and cloud migration efforts.
• Leadership of multiple development teams and SAFe Agile practices.

Description of Task to be Performed:

AnaVation is seeking a Senior-level Solutions Architect to design, build, implement, and maintain enterprise-classsystems and processes that support mission requirements. This role will develop baseline and target architectures forproduction environments, ensuring that technology standards and frameworks align with the organization’s overallbusiness and technical strategy. The Enterprise Architect will evaluate existing and proposed architectures, identifydesign gaps, and recommend improvements that enhance system stability, interoperability, portability, scalability, andlong-term performance.

Daily duties include, but are not limited to:

• Designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level systems and processes.
• Aligning enterprise architecture standards, frameworks, and solutions with business objectives and technologystrategy.
• Evaluating existing and proposed system architectures to identify design gaps, risks, and areas for improvement.
• Recommending architectural changes and enhancements to improve stability, interoperability, portability,scalability, and performance.
• Collaborating with business, technical, security, and program stakeholders to translate mission needs intoarchitectural solutions.
• Establishing and maintaining architecture principles, standards, models, roadmaps, and technical documentation.
• Supporting modernization, integration, cloud migration, and technology transformation initiatives. Providingtechnical guidance and architectural recommendations throughout the system development lifecycle.

This position requires a Top-Secret clearance.

This position is on-site in Washington DC with no remote option.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of documented and demonstrated experience in Backend Developer, Full Stack Developer, or JavaDeveloper roles, including enterprise application design and delivery.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying backend services, APIs, and front-end applicationsusing Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Go, and/or .NET, including Java development using current JavaDevelopment Kit versions.
• Experience with PostgreSQL database architecture, schema design, SQL development, and performance tuning.
• Experience implementing application frameworks and technologies such as Spring/Spring Boot, Node.js, NestJS,Gin, Angular, React, Next.js, Google Web Toolkit, Hibernate, and Struts.
• Experience defining enterprise solution architectures and system designs, applying software design patterns,identifying antipatterns, and assessing security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
• Experience designing front-end, backend, and API solutions, including integration across enterprise applicationsand data platforms.
• Experience leading multiple development teams through technical design, implementation, and delivery.
• Experience with software development lifecycle processes, including SAFe Agile, and development and deliverytools such as Git, Nexus, SonarQube, Jira, Confluence, Crucible, Jenkins, Ansible, and Ansible Tower.
• Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical, functional, and performance issues in cloudenvironments.
• Experience designing, planning, and managing data migrations, including data mapping, transformation,validation, and cutover.
• Has an active TS clearance and can work onsite in DC.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or SAFeArchitect
• Experience with XTS and its integration into enterprise solutions.

$83,450.45 - $203,200 a year

Please note: The listed salary range reflects our market-based compensation structure. Final compensation will depend on business needs, local market conditions, internal equity, and the selected candidate’s skills, education, and experience.
