Job summary

Horizontal Talent is seeking an SAP BTP & Joule Solution Architect to shape modern cloud solutions, custom applications, and intelligent automation. You will provide architecture leadership, guide development standards, and drive clean-core transformation.

Lead strategy across SAP Build Code, SAP Integration Suite, and Joule-enabled solutions while mentoring teams and partnering with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure enterprise solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• 8+ years of experience in SAP solution design and development.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP BTP services.
• Strong experience designing enterprise integration architectures.
• Proven ability to develop custom applications on SAP BTP.
• Experience with SAP Build Code and SAP Integration Suite.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable cloud solutions aligned with clean-core architecture principles.
• Lead technical strategy across SAP Build Code, SAP Integration Suite, SAP AI services, and Joule-enabled solutions.
• Establish architecture standards, development patterns, and governance for custom applications and integrations.
• Build and guide development of SAP Fiori applications, business extensions, custom services, APIs, and BTP-based applications.
• Support application lifecycle management, including DevOps, CI/CD, and transport management practices.
• Design and implement AI-powered workflows and automation scenarios using Joule capabilities.
• Develop custom Joule skills and business-specific AI interactions that improve productivity.
• Integrate Joule with SAP applications, enterprise data, and external systems.
• Create enterprise integration solutions that connect SAP S/4HANA with other systems using API-led patterns.
• Define event-driven and service-oriented integration approaches to support business needs.
• Set API governance, monitoring, and security standards for integration solutions.
• Lead architecture reviews, design sessions, and technical workshops.
• Mentor developers and integration engineers while supporting solution planning and roadmaps.

• Knowledge of SAP clean-core strategies and cloud-native solution design.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical architecture and scalable solutions.
• Strong communication skills for working with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Experience guiding developers and supporting technical best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP Business AI and Joule-enabled development capabilities.
• Background in SAP Fiori application development.
• Familiarity with API governance, monitoring, and security frameworks.
• Experience with enterprise automation and intelligent workflow design.
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, and application lifecycle management in SAP environments.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment within commuting distance of Montvale, Dallas, or Chicago.
