Job description

Remote, United States; Santa Clara, California, United States; Seattle, Washington, United States

Are you passionate about shaping how robotics integrates into complex real-world operations? Do you thrive at the intersection of technology, strategy, and execution? If you’re excited by the challenge of designing scalable, end-to-end solutions that bridge digital systems and physical automation, we invite you to join us at Cobot as a Solutions Architect. This role is ideal for technical leaders who bring a systems-thinking mindset and can translate high-level goals into actionable architectural blueprints. You’ll collaborate closely with customers and internal teams to define, deliver, and evolve cutting-edge robotics solutions across logistics, healthcare, manufacturing, and beyond.

Join us to reimagine the future of human-robot interaction.

Collaborative Robotics is a team of innovators and builders redefining the future of human-robot interaction. We are working to realize a world where robots are a trusted extension of your surroundings. They work, adapt, and react around you. Not the other way around.

This role is located at our Santa Clara, CA headquarters, Seattle, WA office, or remotely within the US.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Digital Strategy Development: Engage with clients to define digital strategies that enable robotics and automation across fulfillment, care delivery, production, or retail environments.
  • Operational Translation: Work alongside operations experts to understand floor-level workflows and translate them into digital architecture, data flow models, and interface requirements.
  • Solution Architecture: Design integrated solutions that span robotics (e.g., AMRs, AGVs, conveyors etc.), control systems, enterprise applications, and cloud services. Define APIs, data models, and integration blueprints.
  • Client Engagement & Leadership: Act as the technical point of contact during project delivery. Build trust with technical and business stakeholders and align cross-functional teams around shared objectives.
  • Bridge & Scalable Solutions: Deliver interim solutions that meet urgent needs while enabling long-term automation strategy. Identify reusable patterns that support productization and scalability.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Systems Integration, or Digital Consulting.
  • Familiarity with physical robotics systems (e.g., AMRs, AGVs, Drones), cloud-based architectures, and API design principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in enterprise integration (e.g., OMS, WMS, ERP, MES, WES) and automation platforms.
  • Experience working in, or consulting for, one or more of the following domains: logistics, manufacturing, healthcare operations, or retail distribution.
  • Strong ability to communicate across technical and non-technical stakeholders, from engineers to floor operators to executives.
  • Highly motivated teammate with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, collaborative and dynamic start-up environment as part of a small team.
  • Willing to occasionally travel.
  • Must have and maintain US work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with robotics orchestration platforms or AMR/AGV fleet managers (e.g., Locus, OTTO, Fetch, MiR)
  • Understanding of WMS/WES/WCS architecture and its integration with upstream systems.
  • Hands-on experience with digital transformation projects in regulated industries such as healthcare (e.g., HIPAA, FDA, GxP).
  • Familiarity with omni-channel retail fulfillment, or high-volume distribution centers.
  • Familiarity with C4 modeling (Context, Container, Component, Code).
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures, digital twins, and edge/hybrid computing in operational environments.
  • Experience facilitating executive workshops, value-stream mapping, or design thinking sessions with client stakeholders.

The base salary range for this position is $180,000-$225,000 plus equity and comprehensive benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and experience level. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the noted geographic area. Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp .
