Job description

Solutions Architect

The Solutions Architect role is central in enabling our NerdsToGo franchisees and their teams to deliver optimal technology solutions to their business clients. This individual guides franchisees through our array of vendors and programs, advising on best practices for implementation to maximize business outcomes. The Solutions Architect is tasked with designing tailored proposals, ensuring solutions meet client needs while fostering a culture of innovation within the franchise network. This role involves strategic partnership with vendors, continuous technology trend monitoring, and a deep understanding of our Professional Services Automation System to enhance solution delivery. The Solution Architect reports to the Brand President.

The ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between our clients' needs and our technological capabilities, ensuring seamless, efficient, and effective service delivery. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills to support the growth and success of our franchise network.

Essential Functions
  • Consultative Support: Act as a primary consultant for franchisees, aiding in the identification and implementation of technology solutions that meet their clients' needs, leveraging the NerdsToGo vendor network and programs effectively.
  • Solution Design and Proposal Development: Research, outline and deliver custom solutions for potential business clients of franchisees, including crafting compelling proposals that highlight the value of our offerings.
  • Training and Enablement: Lead educational initiatives for franchisees and their staff on our technology platforms, creating resources such as webinars, tutorials, and documentation to ensure proficiency.
  • Vendor Partnership Management: Serve as the liaison between NerdsToGo and technology vendors, nurturing relationships to secure advantageous terms for our franchise network.
  • Technology Advocacy: Keep abreast of technology trends and advocate for the adoption of new solutions that can benefit the NerdsToGo network. Attend major industry events to maintain competitive offerings.
  • Operational and Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate closely with operations and IT departments within Propelled Brands to align technology solutions with business strategies and operational efficiencies.
  • Compensation and Royalty Reporting Oversight: May manage accurate reporting related to compensation and royalties within the franchise network to ensure financial transparency and compliance.
  • Digital Resource Sites Maintenance: Keep internal digital resources up-to-date, ensuring franchisees have access to current information and tools necessary for their success.
  • New Location Onboarding and Training Support: Facilitate the integration of new franchise locations through comprehensive onboarding and training programs, ensuring a smooth transition and immediate operational effectiveness.
  • Service Desk Escalation Handling: Act as a point of escalation for complex service desk inquiries, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Convention Planning and Support: Participate in the planning and execution of company conventions, providing technology insights and support to enhance event success.
Position Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in information technology, system management, or related fields
  • Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information System Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Prefer relevant certifications in solutions architecture, cloud platforms, or vendor-specific technologies.
  • Strategic problem-solving with the ability to design effective technology solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of distilling complex technical concepts for a non-technical audience.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technology trends, solutions architecture practices, and the vendor landscape.
  • Proven collaborative and leadership abilities.
  • Deep understanding of Professional Services Automation Systems, cloud environments, SaaS infrastructure, and network/security fundamentals.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a primarily remote role with occasional travel required for corporate office visits, vendor meetings, or industry conferences, necessitating effective virtual collaboration and project management skills.

Travel

Occasional out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected to support franchisee operations, attend vendor meetings, or participate in industry events.
