Job summary

Theoris is seeking a Solutions/Applications Engineer in Houston to lead the technical delivery of power generation and microgrid solutions. You will own system architecture, technical scope, and solution development from early engagement through project handoff, balancing reliability, performance, and commercial objectives.

You will work directly with customers to understand challenges, develop practical engineering solutions, and communicate complex power system concepts clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in power systems, distributed generation, microgrids, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of low- and medium-voltage power systems and generation systems.
• Experience interpreting electrical system diagrams (single-line diagrams).
• Ability to translate requirements into practical engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of microgrid and distributed generation solutions for customer proposals.
• Develop electrical system designs, including single-line diagrams and layouts.
• Perform power system evaluations to inform design decisions.
• Serve as the primary technical interface with customers.
• Collaborate with engineering, EPC, R&D, and product teams to deliver executable solutions.
