Job summary

RoviSys’ Power & Energy division in Houston is seeking a Power Systems Controls Engineer to join our team. You will support definition, development, testing and implementation of Microgrid, Power System Automation, and EPMS solutions utilizing industry-leading automation technologies.

Responsibilities include creating specifications and BOMs, supporting electrical designers, developing PLC, DCS, RTAC, IEDs and HMIs, and performing FAT/SAT testing, commissioning, and customer training.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
3-6 years of relevant controls experience.
Working knowledge of Generator Synchronization, Automatic System Islanding, Load Shedding, Main-Tie-Main, Paralleling Switchgear, Operational Dispatch.

Responsibilities

Create and develop Functional Specifications, including SOO (Sequence of Operations) and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
Support Electrical Designers to develop project drawing packages.
Develop, test and deploy PLC/ DCS/ RTAC/ IEDs and HMIs for Power System Automation Applications.
Develop Test Plans for FAT and SAT and support execution.
Support loop checks, start-up and commissioning activities.
Perform customer training as required.
Troubleshoot existing systems.
