The department seeks a Solutions Architect to join its award-winning technology team, focusing on revolutionizing public health IT.

The Bureau of IT Application and Platform Engineering aims to deliver high-quality, customized software solutions and database services aligned with the agency's strategic goals. The Solutions Architect will design, develop, and implement innovative IT solutions, working closely with stakeholders and technical teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design: Design and document system architecture, data flows, and integration points, including end-to-end Azure-based solutions emphasizing scalability, reliability, and security.
• Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Technology Evaluation: Assess emerging technologies like AI and cloud computing for innovation opportunities.
• Implementation Oversight: Guide and mentor development teams to ensure solutions meet architectural standards.
• Problem-Solving: Resolve complex technical issues to ensure seamless delivery.
• Documentation: Create clear technical documentation supporting design and implementation.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Architecture Governance: Establish and enforce standards and best practices for Azure solutions.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 6 years of experience with programming, databases, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• 3+ years as a Solution Architect focusing on Microsoft Azure.
• Proficiency in cloud engineering, DevOps, and automation tools.
• Knowledge of IT architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).
• Extensive Azure service experience (Azure DevOps, Logic Apps, VMs, Storage).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience with hybrid cloud solutions and Microsoft Power Platform.
• Understanding of AI and machine learning technologies.

Salary Range

$88,684.00 – $123,806.00
