Job description

Analytica is seeking a remote Solutions Architect to lead and manage a high-profile team responsible for the architecture and implementation of data science and machine learning efforts.

As a core team member, you will collaborate with a diverse group of professionals to develop solutions, identify nuisances, and propose alternatives.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  1. Lead architectural design and technical planning, including roadmap development and implementation of modern techniques and technologies such as Cloud (AWS), SDN, AIOps, AI/ML, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
  2. Develop and enhance enterprise data environments to meet diverse analytics, reporting, and data science federal requirements.
  3. Create and maintain solution architectures and design documentation, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and integrating new technologies.
  4. Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies.
  5. Support innovation planning and architecture development, analyzing government requirements to develop system specifications.
  6. Gather requirements, perform analysis, and develop specifications to meet project objectives.
  7. Engage with clients to gather complex business data requirements using various techniques.
  8. Analyze data quality and schemas to ensure performance requirements are met.
  9. Design and maintain a master data management strategy covering data ownership, security, and administration.
  10. Oversee database administration to support a data-as-a-service approach.
  11. Ensure high-quality data artifacts including documentation, requirements, design, KPIs, and testing activities.
  12. Support proposal responses through solutioning, writing, code challenges, and reviews.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, or related field.
  2. 8+ years of experience developing enterprise data warehouse/lake solutions.
  3. 5+ years experience with SDLC methodology, Agile project management, and federal government work.
  4. Experience leading strategy, architecture, design, and delivery of data-driven capabilities, especially within the IRS environment.
  5. Knowledge of data architectures and pipelines for various data types across repositories and lakes.
  6. Broad knowledge across analytics lifecycle, including data engineering, governance, and end-user workflows.
  7. Experience with front-end technologies, UI/UX, Agile DevSecOps tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
  8. Proficiency in multiple programming languages, cloud computing, distributed systems, and microservices.
  9. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  10. Knowledge of data science/machine learning concepts and collaboration with data scientists.
  11. AWS Certification preferred.
  12. Must be a US citizen.
  13. Active IRS Clearance.
