Solution Architect

Location:

Remote (Work from home). Travel to client locations is expected.

Salary:

$155K - $185K annually plus bonus potential.

Position Overview:

We seek an experienced Solution Architect with over 10 years of expertise in Field Service Management tools and a strong background in the utilities and energy industries. The successful candidate will lead the design and implementation of OverIT's FSM solutions, ensuring they meet client requirements and industry best practices. This role includes building and mentoring a high-performing team to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Solution Design and Architecture:
   • Lead the design of comprehensive FSM solutions tailored to client needs.
   • Develop detailed architectural blueprints outlining system integrations, data flows, and technical specifications.
   • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry standards.
2. Technical Leadership:
   • Provide technical guidance during FSM solution implementation.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for cohesive project delivery.
   • Stay updated on emerging technologies to inform strategies.
3. Client Engagement:
   • Engage with clients to understand their processes and challenges.
   • Translate needs into technical requirements and communicate solutions effectively.
   • Present architectural solutions to clients, explaining benefits and rationale.
4. Team Building and Mentorship:
   • Recruit, mentor, and develop a technical team.
   • Define roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
   • Provide ongoing training to enhance team capabilities.
5. Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
   • Establish best practices for design, coding, and system integration.
   • Conduct reviews to ensure quality and standards adherence.
   • Identify and implement process improvements.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s) preferred.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 10 years in FSM solutions, especially in utilities and energy sectors.
• Proven leadership in complex FSM implementations and integrations.
• Experience with web applications and technologies like XML, JSON, HTML5, AngularJS.
• Experience designing enterprise system integrations using SOAP & REST web services.
• Strong understanding of utility operations and asset management.
• Leadership skills in team building and talent development.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Technical proficiency in FSM platforms, system integration, and data analytics.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with OverIT's FSM platform and utilities applications.
• Consulting experience with client-facing roles.
• Knowledge of GIS, mobile workforce management, IoT, AI, and Machine Learning.
• Certifications in solution architecture or relevant areas.
