Responsibilities

  • Define and own end-to-end application architecture aligned with business goals and enterprise standards.
  • Lead architectural reviews and establish best practices for development teams.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
  • Design integration patterns connecting client apps with cloud back-end systems.
  • Build and optimize micro-services, RESTful APIs, and event-driven components.
  • Develop and architect micro-frontend apps using modular UI composition or Module Federation.
  • Implement authentication and authorization frameworks (OAuth2.0, JWT).
  • Develop complex workflow systems leveraging cloud services and distributed architectures.
  • Write clean, maintainable, testable code and lead code reviews.
  • Strong experience with Java, JSF, PrimeFaces, JavaScript, CSS, Perl, and/or Linux shell.
  • Experience with DevOps tools (Jira, Confluence, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bash, SVN, JetBrains Tool Suite).
  • Integrate applications with cloud storage systems.
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including developers, UI/UX designers, product managers, and QA engineers.

Job Description

Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact supporting the Administrative Office of the United States Courts (AOUSC). The AOUSC program is responsible for providing oversight, supervision, and coordination of the court and judicial case management systems. These systems include the Judiciary’s Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) and Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) systems. The Solutions Architect will work as part of the PACER Development team responsible for developing, operating, and supporting internal and external systems that allow for secure public access to court electronic records for the Judiciary. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-class applications and web services. This position requires strong architectural thinking, the ability to design scalable and secure systems, and the technical depth to implement complex end-to-end solutions. The role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

Salary Range

The likely salary range for this position is $136,000 - $184,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
