Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks an experienced Technical Architect to align lifecycle IT strategy with organizational goals. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on engineering to validate approaches, reduce risk, and accelerate decisions for leadership.

You will lead enterprise architecture initiatives, develop scalable frameworks, ensure security/compliance, and mentor cross-functional teams across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT systems administration.
• Expertise in technology architecture, strategy, and integration.
• Strong grasp of enterprise architecture frameworks, compliance standards and security.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage technical debt and innovate.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging stakeholders.
• Azure or AWS Solution Architect certification preferred; CISSP or CSSIP desirable.
• Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator certification is a plus.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging diverse stakeholders.
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (retired in 2021).
• Preferred: Azure or AWS Solution Architect.
• Active CISSP or CSSIP.
• Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator.

Salary

The likely salary range for this position is $165,750 - $224,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
