We are seeking a Solutions Architect to lead the design and oversight of enterprise‑grade web applications and integrations. This role will support the Retirement Services Group, a team of senior engineers and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions across cloud and on‑prem environments.
Duties
- Define architecture for full‑stack applications using React, VueJS, ASP.NET Core, Java (Spring Framework), and SQL Server
- Guide the integration of systems using SOAP, REST, Oracle RPC, IBM MQ, and z/OS Connect
- Ensure alignment with security, performance, and compliance standards
Key Responsibilities
- Architect end‑to‑end enterprise solutions that span frontend, backend, data, and cloud layers
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of senior engineers
- Design integration strategies for legacy and modern systems using message queues, RPC, and APIs
- Define and enforce best practices for code quality, observability, and DevSecOps
- Collaborate with product owners, security teams, and infrastructure leads to align architecture with business and compliance goals
- Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and decision records
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support sprint planning with architectural input
Required Qualifications
- Must be a US citizen, willing to undergo background investigation
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field; minimum five (5) years of designing and delivering complex IT systems, including IT infrastructure and cloud development; minimum two (2) years of hands‑on application development experience
- Proven experience architecting enterprise applications using:
- SQL Server, Entity Framework Core
- Azure Cloud Services (App Services, Functions, Key Vault, etc.)
- Deep understanding of integration patterns and security architecture: authentication/authorization and secure configuration
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and Agile delivery
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- CompTIA Security+ (CE) or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Eligibility for Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with z/OS Connect for mainframe integration
- Familiarity with telemetry, performance tuning, and incident response
- Prior experience supporting or mentoring senior engineering teams
