Job summary

GlobalData is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of bespoke, high-value solutions for strategic clients. You will own major client relationships, architect solutions combining data, analytics, and AI, and guide a cross-functional team toward revenue growth and customer success.

You will mentor colleagues, shape solution strategy, and represent the company at industry events, ensuring continuous improvement and thought leadership across sectors.

The role...

As Solution Architect, you will be the senior commercial architect behind GlobalData's most strategic client engagements - translating complex client challenges into tailored, high-value solutions that combine our proprietary data, expert analysis, and AI-powered platform. You will own a portfolio of major client relationships, architecting bespoke solutions that grow account value and cement GlobalData as an indispensable strategic partner.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design and Delivery
  • Architect and sell custom, high-impact solutions - leading delivery with support from the wider consulting and platform teams - to meet sales and net revenue targets.
  • Design bespoke solutions that combine GlobalData's data, expertise, and AI capabilities into a single, coherent answer to each client's specific business challenge, regardless of sector.
  • Oversee delivery quality and timelines across your portfolio of solution engagements, ensuring outcomes meet or exceed client expectations - while staying focused on solution design and account growth as the core of the role.
• Client Relationship Management & Account Growth
  • Act as the senior architect of the client relationship - diagnosing current and emerging needs and mapping them to solution opportunities.
  • Build deep, multi-year relationships with key accounts through solution engagements, conference presentations, and thought leadership - expanding scope and revenue over time.
  • Own client satisfaction and retention across a portfolio of strategic accounts, delivering continuous value that secures long-term, expanding partnerships.
• Team Leadership and Development
  • Help build and lead a high-performing solutions team, embedding a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
  • Mentor team members, developing their solution-design capability and supporting their growth into senior roles.
  • Foster a collaborative, cross-functional environment, working closely with sales, research and analysis, and customer success to align solution design with account strategy.
• Thought Leadership
  • Develop and disseminate thought leadership - white papers, articles, and presentations - positioning GlobalData as the leading solutions authority across the industries it serves.
  • Represent GlobalData at industry conferences, webinars, and forums, elevating the company's visibility as a solutions-led intelligence leader.
• Innovation and Improvement
  • Continuously evolve solution design methodology, incorporating new platform capabilities, data assets, and AI tools as they emerge.
  • Track cross-industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics to keep GlobalData's solutions offering ahead of the market.

What we're looking for?

• Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Proven ability to translate ambiguous client problems into structured, architecture-led solutions.
• Solution & Data Fluency: Comfortable architecting solutions across data products, research/analyst content, and AI tools - able to see how disparate capabilities combine into one client-ready solution, in any sector.
• Financial Acumen: Strong track record of consistently achieving and surpassing revenue and account growth targets.
• Management Experience: Substantial project and people management experience, including leading solution/consulting teams and owning client-facing delivery.
• Client Management: Demonstrated success building relationships with senior/C-suite stakeholders, with strong experience presenting to and influencing Senior Management.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the gravitas to influence senior stakeholders and articulate technical solutions in commercial terms.
• Problem-Solving: Strong, proactive problem-solving ability, comfortable designing solutions under ambiguity across varied industry contexts.
