We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to design and oversee the implementation of our next-generation healthcare data platform. The ideal candidate will architect scalable, secure solutions that aggregate data from disparate healthcare systems and apply AI/ML capabilities to deliver actionable insights. This role is critical for our expansion from one-way to two-way interoperability and the implementation of advanced AI features in our product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect complex, scalable healthcare data solutions using Azure cloud technologies
• Lead the technical design for our healthcare data integration platform, focusing on security, scalability, and high availability
• Develop architecture for data pipelines that consolidate information from diverse EHR, PM, imaging, and other healthcare systems
• Create blueprints for AI/ML implementations that enhance clinical decision-making and workflow optimization
• Develop security frameworks that ensure HIPAA compliance and data protection
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement architectural designs
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies for implementation of our product roadmap
• Create technical documentation for all architectural components
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineering team members

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in solutions architecture, with at least 4 years focused on healthcare data systems
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience (architecture and implementation) with .NET/Java/Node and Angular/React on cloud platforms (non-negotiable)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in developing and maintaining data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Spark (non-negotiable)
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Azure-based healthcare SaaS platforms
• Deep understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, X12, DICOM) and interoperability challenges
• Experience architecting systems that aggregate healthcare data from multiple sources
• Strong background in designing applications utilizing AI/ML for healthcare insights
• Experience with modern API design and implementation (REST, GraphQL)
• Knowledge of security best practices for handling PHI and ensuring HIPAA compliance
• Familiarity with EHR systems and healthcare workflows
• Experience designing data workflows that incorporate AI/ML components
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ophthalmology or specialist care data systems
• Azure certifications (Solutions Architect Expert, Data Engineer)
• Experience with real-time healthcare data processing and analytics
• Background in designing systems for clinical decision support
• Knowledge of medical imaging systems and data workflows
• Experience with two-way healthcare system synchronization
• Understanding of value-based care models and supporting data requirements
