Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking an IT Enterprise Architect to provide technical leadership and shape system scope across cloud, integration, data, and infrastructure domains. You will guide teams, review designs, and ensure alignment with the enterprise architecture vision in a hybrid Columbus, OH setting.

Ideal candidates bring 5–10 years in IT, strong systems integration, and cloud/security expertise, with industry certifications and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Description Summary:

Provides technical leadership and functional direction on formulation and definition of system scope and objectives. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and formulate desired results. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written or how software will be utilized.

Works with Portfolio Architects to elaborate on the solution architecture for the application area, and reviews the detailed designs working with the technical lead to ensure compliance with overall solution vision, and guides the teams to implement solutions, and documents applications in areas including messaging and collaboration, web technologies, wireless technologies, system interfaces, database querying, and reporting.

Champions the technology and implementation for identified application area(s), manage application level technical debt, guide the application stakeholders on the prioritization of the technical scope. current applications/processes for technical performance and recommend target benchmarks. Helps the team troubleshoot any technical problems by providing problem resolution, follow-up, and education.

*This a hybrid position, located in Columbus, OH.

  • Bachelor’s Degree Field of Study: Computer Science Field of Study: Engineering Field of Study: related field OR equivalent experience
  • Years of experience: 5-10 relevant IT experience.
  • Strong systems integration and design experience
  • Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, security, and modern architectures
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

Required or Strongly Preferred

  • Cloud Solution Architecture certification (AWS, Azure, or Google)
