Qualifications

• Strong P&C Insurance domain knowledge across Commercial, Specialty Insurance and Reinsurance.
• Extensive IT architecture experience (7+ years) and 12+ years in enterprise IT.
• Experience with underwriting, policy administration, claims, billing and reinsurance processes.
• Knowledge of APIs, integration, cloud platforms, data security and legacy modernization.
• Proven stakeholder management, communication, and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate business challenges into solution architectures and technology strategies.
• Define current/target state architectures across applications, data, cloud, and security.
• Evaluate build-vs-buy options and identify suitable platforms and solutions.
• Develop technology roadmaps, scope, workstreams, and implementation plans.

Role Summary

Seeking an experienced Solution / Enterprise Architect with strong P&C Insurance domain expertise to drive strategic technology initiatives across Commercial Insurance, Specialty Insurance, and Reinsurance. The role involves translating business requirements into scalable solution architectures, technology roadmaps, and implementation-ready plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business challenges and transformation opportunities into solution architectures and technology strategies.
• Define current-state, target-state, and transition architectures across applications, integration, data, cloud, and security.
• Evaluate build-vs-buy options, platforms, and technology solutions based on business value, cost, risk, and scalability.
• Develop technology roadmaps, project scope, workstreams, dependencies, and implementation plans.
• Identify modernization, application rationalization, AI, and automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with business leaders, architects, engineering teams, vendors, and project/program managers.

Required Skills

• Strong P&C Insurance domain knowledge, including Commercial, Specialty Insurance, and Reinsurance.
• 12+ years of enterprise IT experience, including 7+ years in Solution, Enterprise, or Technology Architecture.
• Knowledge of insurance processes such as underwriting, policy administration, claims, billing, and reinsurance.
• Experience with platforms such as Guidewire, SAP Insurance/Finance, VIPR, or similar insurance solutions.
• Understanding of APIs, enterprise integration, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), data architecture, security, and legacy modernization.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and strategic planning skills.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• TOGAF, AWS/Azure architecture certifications, or insurance industry certifications are preferred.
