Job summary

Bayer in St. Louis, MO seeks a Solutions Architect to lead data integration platforms and API/AI integration initiatives. You will design, document and implement scalable solutions across AWS cloud and Kubernetes environments, working with MuleSoft and Envoy Gateway.

Telecommuting is allowed from home within commuting distance of St. Louis, with travel up to 20% for collaboration and deployment. A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with relevant 3–5+ years experience is required.

Qualifications

• Masters in CS/IT or closely-related field with 3 yrs IT experience in cloud services
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ yrs progressive experience accepted
• Experience architecting, designing and testing cloud services and SaaS solutions in AWS
• Experience with containerized and serverless architectures
• Knowledge of API & data integration platforms and tools like MuleSoft/Open API

Solutions Architect

Solutions Architect for St. Louis, MO to support application & data integration platforms; develop & implement product roadmap and features for data integration; document & demonstrate solutions and design patterns; collaborate with cross-functional business stakeholders to understand data integration needs & develop products and technologies to meet those needs; identify & assess emerging technologies for potential use; introduce new technologies & support required architectural changes within API, AI, and data integration platforms; design, develop, support & operate API and AI integration solutions. Requires Master’s in C.S., I.T., or closely-related field & 3 yrs experience in IT-related position(s): architecting, designing and testing cloud services and SaaS solutions in AWS; working with cloud services & cloud-based architectures including containerized solutions and serverless architecture services including AWS Snowball Edge, Data Pipelines, ECS Fargate, EKS GKE and AKS; managing Kubernetes services in containerized environments; applying modern software development tools & processes, including Agile development methods, CI/CD, DevOps, and Git code repositories; developing solutions for API & data integration platforms, including MuleSoft and Envoy Gateway, using RUST, WASM, Python, and Node; and creating proof of concepts & minimum viable products for API discovery and documentation generation focused on crop science and/or agriculture using PDK, Open API tools, LLM’s, and CARGO. Will also accept a Bachelor’s degree in stated fields with 5 yrs progressive, post-Bachelor’s stated exp. Telecommuting permitted from home office location within reasonable commuting distance of St. Louis, MO up to 3 days per week. Up to 20% U.S. and int’l travel req’d. Salary Range: Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $147,000.00 to $165,000.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. The offered salary may vary within this range based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
