Qualifications

• 10+ years of data architecture and engineering experience with Snowflake.
• Deep Snowflake warehousing, security, and performance tuning knowledge.
• Strong SQL and Python skills; hands-on ETL/ELT pipeline work.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and governance.
• Public sector experience with client-facing leadership is required.

Responsibilities

TalentFish is casting a line for a Solutions Architect. This is a remote direct hire role with a premier Snowflake consulting firm. The Solutions Architect will design and implement scalable Snowflake data architectures that support CLIENT's strategic goals, with a strong focus on data engineering, governance, security, compliance, and performance. What You Bring to the Role. (Ideal Experience)

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering, including deep expertise with the Snowflake Data Cloud platform.
• Advanced knowledge of Snowflake data warehousing, security, performance tuning, data sharing, and scalable architecture patterns.
• Strong SQL and Python skills with hands-on experience building modern ETL/ELT pipelines and data integrations.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus data governance practices including lineage, cataloging, quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Mandatory experience in the public sector, including university and/or government environments, with strong client-facing leadership and communication skills.

What You'll Do. (Skills Used in this Position)

• Design scalable, secure, and high-performing Snowflake data architectures aligned with CLIENT requirements and industry best practices.
• Lead the development of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and integration strategies using Snowflake, SQL, Python, and modern frameworks.
• Establish data governance frameworks for data quality, lineage, metadata management, access controls, masking, compliance, and auditability.
• Partner with client stakeholders and technical teams to translate business requirements into practical solutions and guide successful delivery.
• Optimize performance, automate monitoring and error handling, resolve complex data issues, and mentor engineers on Snowflake and data engineering best practices.

Compensation Information

The expected salary range for this position is $180,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
