Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. seeks a technical consultant to design and implement software solutions and professional services in collaboration with sales teams and customers.

The role involves on-site customer visits, technical advisory with IT staff, and developing POCs and SOWs for review and approval. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 0–2 years of related experience, and relevant printing pre-sales/post-sales support experience.

  • Willing to travel up to 70% with overnight stays; valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

  • Certified Color Management Professional Master; post-sales 24/7 support.
  • Assist customers with onboarding to increase print volumes.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in on-site customer visits for meetings, surveys, inspections.

  • Assist with RFP responses and develop workflows.
  • Develop POC proposals for customer review and approval.
  • Draft Statements of Work outlining customer requirements and responsibilities.
  • Ensure configurations are complete and accurate.

Job description

About the Role

Responsible for consulting with sales teams and customers in the design and implementation of software solutions and professional services. Assists in providing technical support in sales presentations, customer training, and the delivery of professional services.

Your Impact
  • Participates in on-site visits to customers for meetings, surveys, and inspections.
  • Meets with customer IT staff as technical advisor.
  • Assists with RFP responses.
  • Assists in the preparation of sales proposals and participate in developing workflows and assessments by developing a Proof of Concept (POC) to be delivered to the end customer for their review and approval.
  • Assists in the development of a Statement of Work (SOW) that will outline the customer requirements and responsibilities.
  • Ensures configurations are complete and accurate.
About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 0 to 2 years of related experience.
  • Relevant business experience relating to printing pre-sales/post- sales support in Large Format, office and production environments.
  • Extensive travel may be required, up to 70% with overnight stays (valid drivers' license and acceptable driving record necessary). Certain minimum auto insurance coverages are required.
  • Fiery Professional & Expert Certification.
  • Certified Color Management Professional Master; responsible for providing post-sales 24/7 after hours support and implementation services.
  • Actively assist customers with application on-boarding activities to increase print volumes.
  • In accordance with applicable law, we are providing the anticipated base salary for this role: $69,300 - $103,770.

Workstyle Description

Hybrid - This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office three days a week and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days).
