The Opportunity

“The FICO Consultant will deliver both business and technical consulting expertise. As an integral member of the functional team, the Solution Integration, Functional Consultant will support the implementation of FICO solutions in collaboration with the Client, Sales, and Technical teams. – Director, Solution Integration

What You'll Contribute

  • Serve as Functional expert for clients in program/project systems to provide consultancy, understanding and gather Client’s requirements.
  • Gather, analyze requirements and design end to end high level solution design.
  • Document Client requirements in FICO workbooks for User Interface (UI), business processes, technical processes including interfaces, decisioning solution, data requirements, data wrangling, mapping data across the workbooks and reporting for Clients, Developers and Testers across business use cases.
  • Provide Functional leadership on implementation projects and performs detailed functional tasks at client sites or remotely.
  • Ensure quality solutions for all Client requirements.
  • Participate in FICO Discover and Design workshops
  • Manage Client solution upgrades to later versions.
  • Lead functional streams in programs/projects for various Clients and projects as a lead role or supporting roles.
  • Oversee and Support the Client and FICO project teams in the Delivery Management Lifecycle (DMLC)
  • Provide consulting solution support to the FICO Sales team
  • Translate and present solutions varying complexity and knowledge transfer to technical and non-technical personnel internally and with customers.
  • Consider the effectiveness of existing processes and solutions, collaborate with peers to provide suggested improvements.
  • Participate in quality assurance test planning, technical publications development, system design sessions, implementation planning, and other phases of software development lifecycle as needed.

What We're Seeking

  • Extensive experience in consulting and solution design on complex, large-scale, and strategic projects
  • Consulting experience in Financial, Banking and Retail preferred
  • BCOM or BSc degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field — or equivalent related work experience.
  • Ability to define and document business and technical requirements, including writing in Pseudocode.
  • Skilled in designing end-to-end customer solutions including UI/UX, technical processes, decision solutions, and data models.
  • Strong ability to lead the application of technology, solutions, and data delivery across FICO products and client environments.
  • Demonstrated success managing client expectations and stakeholder relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Successfully engaged on projects from Inception through completion.
  • Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java) and web technologies (HTML, SSL, TCP/IP, XML, SOAP, REST, JSON); solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design.
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and strategic thinking skills; able to work independently and across multiple engagements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; collaborative team player who is self-directed, professional, and accountable.
