Job summary

Farmers is seeking an experienced Solution Engineer for Web & Mobile Applications in the United States. The role collaborates with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver complex solutions, focusing on architecture, CI/CD, and scalable platforms.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in solution engineering or architecture, hands-on with Angular and Java/Node.js, cloud skills across AWS/Azure/GCP, and familiarity with mobile development for iOS and Android.

Job Summary

This position collaborates with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver technical solutions that support more complex business initiatives. The role acts as a subject matter specialist to provide systems-level views of technology and devise technical solutions aligned with business objectives. It focuses on enhancing solution design, optimizing development processes, and effectively implementing CI/CD pipelines to deliver impactful solutions that meet business needs. The position ensures technology delivery is successful within lines of business and across the enterprise. It performs work independently while receiving minimal guidance or direction. May mentor or train less experienced team members.

Essential Tasks & Leadership Philosophy

• Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements.
• Translating business requirements into technical solutions for development teams.
• Designing solution architecture and creating detailed architecture diagrams.
• Working closely with cross-functional and external teams to resolve dependencies and provide technical clarifications.
• Guiding development teams by providing technical direction and ensuring alignment with architectural standards.

Education & Career Experience Requirements

• Bachelors degree required in computer science, engineering, or similar field.

• Senior/principal-level software development experience with strong expertise in Angular and Java/Node.js technologies.

• Strong expertise in cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with AI/GenAI technologies, including practical use of AI-assisted tools, agentic AI frameworks, or platforms such as GitHub Copilot.

Physical Actions
